Since the last kitchen post you can say a lot has changed. We were in a full reno movement for a good six weeks, but then life kind of got in the way and we're beginning to slow down, which means I can online browse for some of the details we have yet to decide on...(some choices below) And although we still have a few things left to finish up for the complete transformation, I've got to say that it is already looking so fresh! Not bad for first time renovators ;)
So what do we have left you ask? I've been on the hunt for vintage scissor sconces for months, but unfortunately I've had to compromise to the choices below since the prices I've seen were not really what I was hoping for; it happens... We have yet to install new hardware on the cabinets, change the faucet, make a bad ass wine rack that will go on the left hand corner, our island still needs a serious makeover, and our pantry has a butcher shop plastic sliding cover - yikes! Hence the graphic curtain choices I've narrowed down on below ;)
But to sum up everything we have done to date...
1. painted the cabinets 2. rewired for two wall light fixtures 3. ripped out and put in new sheet rock 4. installed new countertops 5. put in a backsplash & grouted 6. built & installed floating shelves (I'm kind of in love with how the floating shelves turned out; so clean. I was going to stain the wood but I wasn't feeling it; when it doubt paint it white!) 7. installed new pendants 8. painted the walls.
Having done all of this I never realized how long everything would take :-| But such a good learning experience for our next renovation. For our final touches I will make sure to update everyone in the next home progress post; spoiler alert* one of those three rug choices will hopefully be in our near future :)
Happy Saturday everyone!
